Villa Palladio is located on Casey Key, an eight mile long narrow barrier island just south of the city of Sarasota, Florida, USA.
Sarasota is 60 miles south of Tampa on the west coast of Florida along the Gulf of Mexico. Casey Key is never more than a few hundred feet wide and varies from a couple hundred feet to a half-mile off the main
land. The West Coast Intercoastal Waterway also separates the Key from the main land giving the island excellent boating water and most
residents, including Villa Palladio, have their own boat dock. The island is joined to the main land by two bridges. Casey Key is zoned single-family residential with several 1950's style motels at the south-end bridge that have grandfathered zoning status.
At the middle of the Key stands Villa Palladio where the island is only 500 hundred feet wide and a half-mile off shore. The estate property extends from shore to shore. Casey Key Road,14 feet above sea-level, disects the
property positioning the villa on the bay-side or east side with a 200 feet wide beautiful sand beach on the west side. The architect designed Villa Palladio in such a way to afford every room in
the villa both a spectacular sunrise and sunset view across Blackburn Bay and the Gulf of Mexico.
